Beaches
Two excellent beaches on the fringes of Vilamoura town, the impressive but busy Praia da Marina and the quieter Praia da Falesia where pine woods slope down to a wide, gently shelving sandy beach which is ideal for children.

Praia da Falésia - Vilamoura
Praia da Falésia is a 6 km sandy beach.
There are 2 car parks adjacent to the beach.

restaurants, a playground for children and a
variety of other leisure facilities.

Praia da Marina - Vilamoura
Directly East of the Vilamoura marina there is an even, coarse-grained sandy beach that is popular with families with small children. Breakwaters protect the beach. There is a car park at the Vilamoura casino and opposite the Ampalius Hotel. There are restaurants on the beach.

Sailing
The Vilamoura Marina is internationally renowned for its excellent sailing facilities. The local sailing club and school, CIMAV, organises events year-round for all classes of sailing boat.
