Cycling
 140 Km of urban and countryside trails can be explored by bike. To  encourage the use of pollution-free transportation, Lusotur organises  various cycling tours throughout the year.

Horse Riding
 The Riding Centre organises group treks through the Vilamoura  countryside as well as lessons upon request. The Vilamoura Show  Jumping Course is the venue of the Algarve Annual International Show  Jumping Competitionn, a Class "A" event included in the IEF  (International Equestrian Federation) international calendar.

Lawn Bowling

Volleyball
 Volleyball players can use the outdoor facilities of some Vilamoura hotels  and our beaches.

A Four-Wheel Drive Safari is an excellent way to discover the 'real' Algarve, a patchwork of orange and lemon groves and small, quaint villages tucked away in the hills behind the busy resorts.
Nature lovers should also take in the Ria Formosa nature reserve, which follows 60 km of coastline, where they will discover wild birds such as egrets and the rare purple gallinule.
The Roman ruins of Cerro da Vila, dating from the 1st century AD, are worth a look for history buffs with their Roman bath complex and house with mosaics depicting fish.
If you want to travel a bit further, Faro, the capital of the Algarve, has a host of sights including the old town, excellent shopping and nearby the Palace of Estoi and Roman ruins of Milreu.

In Vilamoura itself the nightlife goes on well into the early hours of the morning at the resort's numerous restaurants, bars and clubs. For food lovers the seafood here, especially sardines, are a must, as is spicy chicken piri piri washed down with the refreshing white Vinho Verde from the north or a local red.
